Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permitting

Compliance and Permitting - Assisted chemical industry client with the renewal of their TPDES permit.

Project Overview

Description

Weston was originally retained to assist chemical industry client with the renewal of their Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permitting (TPDES) permit. During the permit process, Weston became a technical resource during a tumultuous period, which included facility expansion, a lawsuit against the company, and new client personnel responsible for wastewater compliance acclimating to their role. Weston prepared a TPDES application for the 2,500-acre complex with 20 production units. Weston coordinated with multiple stakeholders during the permitting action, including facility personnel, the client’s legal team, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority. Weston continues to provide on-call consulting services for wastewater compliance as the client makes changes to their operations to ensure the conditions of the Agreed Order are met in full.
