Weston has an ongoing contract to operate eight ambient air quality monitoring stations in Austin, Texas, and its surrounding counties to measure levels of ozone as good practice. Ozone levels when elevated, can be harmful to the public. The stations were set up to measure ozone and meteorological parameters and started reporting and interpreting data n 1 March 2018, which is the first day of Ozone Monitoring season set by the EPA. Weston staff calibrates, validates data, and maintains the monitoring station network. Weston is immediately responsive and remedies any issues such as a failed wireless signal in the field.
