West Chester, PA (October 31, 2023)— Weston Solutions, Inc. (Weston) was awarded a $5 Billion Puerto Rico Power System Stabilization, Power Generation Services Multiple Award Task Order Contract by the USACE Savannah District. Task Orders are expected to cover power generation services and repairs to improve the stability of the grid.
Weston has delivered over 400 MW of power under three power generation service projects in Puerto Rico valued at over $1.2 Billion for USACE since 2017. On these projects, Weston leveraged strong relationships with Puerto Rico-based partners to navigate challenges such as time critical execution, expedited procurement, and transportation of 19 generators and related fueling systems, as well as fuel from global sources. Other challenges have included the inherent difficulties of resourcing, safely building, and commissioning and operating the new power generation infrastructure around the clock schedule within the footprint of existing operational power plant sites.
