West Chester, PA (August 14, 2025)— Weston Solutions, Inc. (Weston) announces the award of a $9.2 million contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, for the Secure Cooling Water Supply Well Replacement project at Buckley Space Force Base, Colorado. This Design-Bid-Build initiative is funded under the Energy Resilience and Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP) and represents a critical step toward enhancing infrastructure resilience and operational reliability at the installation.
The project scope includes the abandonment of the existing non-operational well, demolition of the pump house and underground storage tank, and construction of a new well into the Lower Arapahoe Aquifer. A new 1,000 sq. ft. pre-engineered metal pump house will be built, equipped with required controls, piping, hydropneumatic tanks, and High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) protection. Additional upgrades include the installation of a new waterline to serve the cooling towers, equipped with a production water meter and a tie-in to the cooling tower sump, featuring automated switching between the city and well water sources.
Weston Vice President Travis Cooper shared, “This award underscores our continued commitment to delivering resilient and mission-critical infrastructure solutions for our nation’s defense. We’re honored to support Buckley Space Force Base with this vital water system upgrade and proud of our team’s dedication to excellence.”
The project is expected to be completed by July 2027, reinforcing Weston’s legacy of high-impact service and infrastructure innovation across Department of Defense installations.
