Under the EPA START contracts we hold across the country, we respond within 2 hours of notification on a 24/7 basis and provide an overall on-scene assessment of the situation, air monitoring (near release as well as perimeter), multi-media sampling to determine extent of environmental impact, documentation and confirmation of clean-up activities, and overall summary report of activities. We have responded to events from small oil and chemical spills to more significant events such as train derailments, chemical plant explosions, landfill and major wildfires, radioactive and biological emergencies, terrorist actions, and other major disasters such as hurricanes.
