Since joining Weston in 2001, Kara Fields has built a diverse breadth of experience in the environmental consulting industry with a technical background in engineering and regulatory support on wide-range projects, including site investigation, remediation planning, remediation, M&A due diligence, regulatory compliance, and risk management. She served as a Project Manager and as Profit Center Manager responsible for profit and loss of a $30M operation and 175 staff serving commercial/industrial and oil and gas clients. In 2014, Kara became Engineering, Science & Technology Director overseeing Weston’s 500+ national group of engineers, scientists, and other technical staff to align talent retention and hiring, optimize performance, and provide premium technical solutions to our clients nationwide. Kara also spearheaded the establishment of a national Women’s Network to advocate for gender equality and opportunity for women at Weston. Kara was named Chief Operating Officer in January 2022. Kara holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.
