Lawrence J. Bove to retire at end of 2026; Fields to become CEO in January 2027 as part of long-term succession plan
WEST CHESTER, PA [September 18, 2026] — Weston Solutions, Inc. (Weston), a U.S.-based, 100% employee-owned environmental and infrastructure services firm, today announced a planned leadership transition designed to ensure continuity for clients, partners, and employee-owners. After 44 years of service, Chief Executive Officer Lawrence J. Bove will retire at the end of calendar year 2026. As part of a long-planned succession, Weston’s Board of Directors appointed Kara Fields as President in January 2026, and she will assume the additional role of Chief Executive Officer in January 2027, becoming the first female CEO in Weston’s history.
This transition follows a Board-led succession process and reflects Weston’s long-standing approach to leadership continuity. Bove will continue to serve as CEO through 2026 and will partner closely with Fields throughout the remainder of the year to ensure a smooth and purposeful handoff. Mr. Bove will remain a senior consultant to the company during 2027, at the request of the Board of Directors.

During this period, the company achieved several consecutive years of record profitability, enabling significant investment in leadership development and a full corporate capital restructuring that made Weston 100% owned by its active employees. This period also marked a return to sustainable, long-term growth that positions the company for the future.

Fields has been with Weston since 2001 and now serves as President and Chief Operating Officer. She has led teams across the enterprise and brings experience in environmental consulting, engineering and regulatory support, and operational execution.
