Description

Our client provides turnkey solutions for on-site power generation to increase energy reliability, reduce costs, and support sustainability programs. These solutions include distributed generation (DG) power systems for industries serving heavy electricity consumers, and combined heat and power (CHP) systems for industries serving heavy consumers of both electricity and thermal energy, such as refrigeration, space heating/cooling, dehumidification, and hot water.

Weston was contracted to prepare air permit applications for multiple DG and CHP facilities to be located at commercial facilities in New York. The permit applications included completion of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) Short Environmental Assessment Form, evaluating other potential environmental issues. A freshwater permit application was completed for one of the facilities. Weston provided support throughout the permit review process, including negotiating permit conditions with NYSDEC for the issued permits.
