Civil Works Water Resources Planning
Planning
is problem solving — and good planning involves the knowledge,
skills, and insights of an interdisciplinary team. WESTON’s
Civil Works Water Resources Team possesses the required knowledge
and skills in plan formulation, economics, environmental resources,
engineering, and public involvement to assist the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers (USACE) and other clients in developing and
implementing solutions to water resources problems in accordance
with applicable authorities and regulations.
The WESTON team understands and operates under
the six-step planning process:
-
Specify Problems and Opportunities
-
Inventory and Forecast Conditions
-
Formulate Alternative Plans
-
Evaluate Effects of Alternative
Plans
-
Compare Alternative Plans
-
Select Recommended Plan
With more than 20 years of USACE experience,
WESTON’s key staff and associates have professional and senior
level planning and environmental experience at the District, Division,
and Washington levels. Four members of WESTON’s key staff
and associates are graduates of the USACE Planning Associates Program.
