Meteorological Monitoring Station installed on WESTON's West Chester campus
WESTON’s
Integrated Air Services (IAS) group installed and operates a
Meteorological Monitoring Station on the West Chester campus.
The Station demonstrates WESTON’s
capabilities in ambient air and meteorological monitoring, and
remote data logging. It also showcases RespondFastSM Real-Time
Monitoring. The station collects real-time measurements of wind
direction, wind speed, air temperature, and precipitation. In
addition, a digital camera, mounted on the tower, takes 15-minute
snap shots of the Pennsylvania campus. The IAS group has installed
systems using this monitoring capability on dozens of projects.
The monitoring networks typically provide data that clients can
use to demonstrate compliance with air quality standards, document
potential off-site migration of pollutants and serve as an alarm
to activate action levels or further controls on fugitive emissions.
