RespondFast^® First Responder Data Collection

Developed for the U.S. EPA's Region V May 2003 TOPOFF2 Exercise, RespondFast^® Responder Data Collection is a handheld-based (Personal Digital Assistant, or PDA) field data entry system for first responders or other field personnel utilizing standard database and GIS technologies. RespondFast^® First Responder Data Collection was designed to provide ease of use to both first responders and decisionmakers, while at the same time electronically collecting and maintaining valuable initial response information.

RespondFast^® First Responder Data Collection uses existing off-the-shelf hardware and communications services, while integrating secure Web services and GIS software.

The RespondFast^® First Responder Data Collection system:
