Construction of Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection Gates

Project Highlights:

• Constructed two new gates in accordance with government-provided drawings and specifications

• Performed all associated mechanical, electrical, and communication systems, audiovisual wiring, grading, utilities, landscaping, and site work

• Created new entrance roads, fencing, and other associated structures, including a guard house and inspection lighting

WESTON constructed two Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) gates for the private vehicles of base personnel at the Main and Virginia Avenue Gates at Andrews Air Force Base.

The new gates comply with the current AT/FP regulations. The project includes all associated mechanical, electrical, grading, utilities, landscaping, and site work, as well as new entrance roads, permanent impact-attenuating devices, fencing, vehicle-arresting devices, guard booths, guard house, and approach, checkpoint, and inspection lighting.

WESTON had overall responsibility for the management and execution of the work, in accordance with the project specifications and drawings.
