Staff (Environmental) Engineer, Entry -Level

Serves as project engineer responsible for supporting project manager on project execution, including planning, scheduling, and internal & external resource management. Support Client Service Manager on technical presentation, and proposal preparation for potential opportunities. Assist in conducting market analysis and compiling business intelligence to keep management updated on market trends and potential opportunities. Support project managers to identify, screen, and select local vendors or subcontractors to support the project execution and responsible for managing all subcontractors during the project execution phase. B.S or MS degree in environmental and civil engineering or environmental scientific disciplines. 0-1 years of professional experience in China in the fields associated with environmental remediation, river and lake eco system restoration, green and hazardous waste treatment and soil remediation. Strong technical skills in researching and compiling technical information under direction. Fluent in Chinese and English (both verbal and writing) with Class 6 certification. Familiar with Microsoft Office to prepare technical and marketing documents. Working knowledge in preparation of technical (CADD) drawings. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player willing to work flexible hours; can demonstrate proven time management and organizational skills, has the ability to work efficiently on multi-tasks; ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders (internal and external); flexible in traveling for project needs. Project Manager - Environmental Remediation

This position is responsible for day to day project management and execution, including planning, scheduling, internal and external resource management, project cash flow and finanacials. Responsibilities also include; Identify, screen, and select local vendors or subcontractors to support the project execution; Responsibility for managing all subcontractors during the project execution phase; Manage local resources (design institutes, equipment supplier & contractors) required for project execution; Support Client Service Manager on marketing, technical presentation, and proposal preparation for potential opportunities; Maintain effective communication with local partners and follow up on potential opportunities; Maintain close communication with the global team on status/progress of identified opportunities; Manage and coordinate internal and external resources during the opportunity positioning and proposal phases. In depth local knowledge of equipment procurement & local subcontractor management. Experienced in project P&L and schedule control. Procurement Professional

Responsibilities will be to: evaluate contracting risk and formulate risk mitigation plans; conduct sourcing and due diligence reviews to identify and qualify sources of supplies/services; prepare comprehensive RFP packages on a competitive and best value basis; conduct detailed fact finding and negotiations of competitive and single/sole source proposals; formulate detailed subcontracts and other required contractual award documents that mitigate risk and comply with client contract requirements; prepare comprehensive file documentation, including but not limited to detailed source selection and price reasonableness justifications, consistent with established internal policies and procedures; and administer multiple, technically complex, high dollar value supply, construction and services contracts/subcontracts including resolving claims/disputes through application of Alternative Dispute Resolution and similar techniques. Construction Project Manager

The position is responsible for day-to-day project management including: Leadership of the Project Team; Project Budget and Schedule; evaluation & monitoring of General Contractor’s project budget and recovery plan; active communication with the client; compliance with contractual terms; management of scope changes; development, review, and implementation of quality pledge to clarify the client’s needs; preparation of project performance information for monthly reports; review and development of change orders; ensure effective communications between all stakeholders; timely and accurate invoicing; reporting variances from plan; appraising impact of variances; recommending corrective actions; preparing financial reports; and, manage project close-out.
The Project Manager must have 10-15 years’ experience successfully managing the construction of multi-million dollar projects. 4 year engineering or Construction Management degree and minimum of 10 years of related work experience, or equivalent combination education and/or work experience. Results oriented, high level of integrity and ethical standards; proven leadership ability; ability to adhere to budgets and schedules; proven problem solving abilities; excellent documentation skills; computer proficiency. Strong writing and oral communication skills in Chinese and English is a must.

Construction Project Coordinator (Assistant Project Engineer)

Carries out construction project duties as established by the Project Manager. The objective is to provide project administration as it relates to technical submittals, project execution, project execution, and close-out. Responsible for assisting in the subcontractor administration activities throughout the life cycle of each assigned construction project. Assisting in preparation of construction/engineering submittal documents (e.g., Construction Quality Plan, Site Specific Health & Safety Plan). Assisting in coordinating project site preparation services. Assisting in development of submittals registers. Monitoring timeliness of submittal receipt and approval, reviewing submittals for accuracy and completeness, notifying Project Manager of issues. Duties will be assigned by appropriate management personnel, as required on a day-to-day basis. Works with moderate supervision.
