Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) Support

At SNL, WESTON has supported waste management and environmental restoration activities for more than 25 years. Specifically:

• From 1998 to present, WESTON has been the prime contractor providing waste management and operational support to the Radioactive Waste/Nuclear Material Disposition Department (RWNMDD). WESTON has performed all aspects of waste management for LLW, RCRA mixed, TSCA mixed, explosive, and classified waste.

• At SNL, WESTON has made 73 LLW shipments totaling 115,750 ft³ and 20 mixed waste shipments totaling 8,500 ft³.

• From 1982 to present, WESTON has supported multiple environmental restoration activities.

• WESTON conducted a comprehensive high-hazard remediation of the SNL low-level radioactive waste landfill and the classified waste landfill.
