Los Alamos National Laboratories (LANL) Support

At LANL, WESTON has provided support for more than 20 years. Recent support includes:

• QA support to upgrade the QA program for a LANL analytical chemistry facility to obtain ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and to ensure compliance with DOE and internal LANL standards.

• Support for Project 2010 TRU Waste Characterization and Certification Program. WESTON provided acceptable knowledge expertise and SPM staff and performed project level data verification and validation and QA program assessments for the following technical operations:

  • Headspace Gas Sampling and Analysis

  • Radiography

  • Visual Examination and Packaging

  • Radioassay (Nondestructive Assay)

  • Payload Container/Assembly Selection

  • Off-Site Transport of TRU Waste

• High-Hazard RCRA Closure
