Project Geoscientist

Job Description

Responsibilities may include planning and implementing hazardous waste site investigations including the following: supporting Phase I and Phase II assessments, remedial investigations and/or feasibility studies; preparation of work plans, health and safety plans; coordination with/oversight of subcontractors; logging of boreholes and construction of monitoring wells; environmental sampling; analyzing and interpreting geologic, hydrologic and analytical data; database management; implementing and analyzing aquifer tests; writing Remedial Investigation reports, Remedial Action Work Plans and other technical reports; and assisting in developing presentations.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Geology with 5+ yrs environmental consulting experience supporting RI/FS, and NJDEP/EPA-led projects. Experience with NJDEP and USEPA regulations; excellent writing and strong computer skills are required. Must have current 40-hour HAZWOPER training. Good quantitative analysis and interpersonal skills are necessary, along with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Data management and GIS skills are desirable. P.G. certification is a plus.
