WESTON’s Annual “Fight from the Fairway”

Each year, a group of West Chester employee-owners organize and participate in WESTON’s “Fight from the Fairway” charity event to raise money for breast cancer research. The day-long event includes a golf tournament, ticket raffle, putting contest, and long drive contest.

Dedicated to the memory of a WESTON employee diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002, the event has raised over $130,000 over the last 6 years. Breast cancer is the most common malignancy affecting women in North America and Europe, and is a cause that WESTON employee-owners care about.

WESTON donates the money raised from this event to the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research (LIMR) and BreastCancer.org.

"It is especially rewarding for us (the committee) when Lankenau invites us to come to their research center to hear about the recent developments made possible with the funds we raised through the tournament. The money raised is being directed towards very promising research in the fight against breast cancer," say Fight from the Fairway committee members.
