Sustainable Operations

WESTON's efforts related to improving sustainability of daily operational activities are not tied directly to a physical office. Key efforts include:

  • Green Meetings Checklist - developed to improve the sustainability of meetings, especially large corporate events. Of the approximately 6,500 hotel reservations we make annually worldwide, 95% are with hotels that have an explicit sustainability/environmentally conscious program.

  • Subcontractor and Vendor Procurement - integrating sustainability requirements into selection of subcontractors and vendors, as well as subcontract provisions. This includes vendors for utilities, where feasible. Our office in Andover, MA, procures 100% of its electricity from renewable sources.

  • Installation of advanced videoconferencing capabilities into multiple offices to reduce travel requirements.

  • Telecommuting as an option for all employees.

  • "Green Products" list for preferred purchases of office supplies and equipment.

  • Initiative to recycle old or unusable office and home electronics.

  • Implementation of paperless paystubs.
