WESTON Wins Award for Veteran-Owned and Small Business Commitment

WEST CHESTER, PA — July 27, 2011 – Weston Solutions, Inc. (WESTON®) was recently honored by the National Veteran Small Business Coalition (NVSBC) for its commitment to Veteran-owned and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB and SDVOSB). NVSBC recognized WESTON as a Champion of Veteran Enterprise for exceeding the federal statutory subcontracting goals under its EPA prime contracts. In 2010, WESTON's EPA program exceeded the VOSB subcontracting goal by more than double, and the SDVOSB subcontracting goal more than five-fold.

"This award recognizes our dedication to teaming with and subcontracting to Veteran-owned and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, the successes of our EPA teams, our ability to support our federal clients, and our commitment to ensuring the viability of the small business community," stated Stephanie Sherwood, WESTON's Small Business Program Manager.

Robert B. Beck, WESTON Vice President and EPA Program Manager has a 20-year history of identifying qualified subcontractors and providing WESTON EPA clients with the best technical and customer service available. He stated, "This award is the result of our Program Managers staying focused on the important goals, working internally with our SB Program to identify good quality subcontractors that reflect our attention to client service and our core values, and maintaining good working relationships with our VOSB and SDVOSB partners. With a continued emphasis on SB participation on Federal contracts, the importance of meeting and exceeding these goals continues to grow. We are able to leverage the expertise of these partners to deliver high quality technical support to EPA through prime contracts with EPA Regions 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6."
