WESTON Wins U.S. EPA Region 6 START III Contract
WEST
CHESTER , PA – August 14, 2006 – Weston
Solutions, Inc. (WESTON®)
announced today that it was awarded a Superfund Technical Assessment & Response
Team (START) contract with a programmatic maximum value of $168
million. The fixed rate indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity
contract has a 5-year base period, with two 2-year, and one 1-year
possible award term options to perform work in Region 6 encompassing
the states of New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.

as shown by recent responses to Hurricane Rita and Katrina, and
the space shuttle Columbia.”
Over the past 20 years, WESTON
has successfully provided support to EPA Region 6 through numerous
contracts, including the recently completed START II contract.
Most notably, under the START II contract WESTON provided support
to EPA on its two largest responses in history, the 2003 Columbia
Space Shuttle disaster recovery, and the on-going Hurricane Katrina/Rita
recovery efforts. WESTON directly provided and managed over 1,000
WESTON or subcontractor personnel to support the Government’s
response. These accomplishments demonstrate WESTON’s strength
in responding to rapidly growing and technologically challenging
assignments in support of our clients’ needs.
WESTON will
provide technical assistance services to EPA On-Scene Coordinators
(OSCs) and other federal officials, implementing EPA’s
responsibilities under the national response system. Work may
include scientific/technical support, site assessment, Brownfields,
and emergency response and removal support activities. Currently,
WESTON has similar contracts in place for EPA in Regions 1, 2,
and 5.
