WESTON Recognized with Two Environmental Business Journal Achievement Awards

WEST CHESTER, PA — March 5, 2008 – The Environmental Business Journal has awarded Weston Solutions, Inc. (WESTON^®) its Business Achievement Award for Technology Merit: Sustainable Construction, and Project Merit: Energy & Infrastructure for 2007. A special awards ceremony was held at the Environmental Industry Summit in San Diego on February 20, 2008. WESTON received technology merit for achieving a major milestone by installing its one-millionth square foot of GreenGrid^® modular roof system. Project merit acclaim was awarded for the completion of a $100-million design/build project for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Hurricane Protection Office to increase capacity of critical pumping stations on two New Orleans canals. Thirty-three pumping systems were operational within 200 days.

Over 460,000 hours of work was completed without a lost time accident, earning commendation from the USACE Mississippi Valley Division with their 2007 Regional Contractor Superior Safety Performance Award.
