Chicago, IL, February 8, 2006 – GreenGrid^® green roof installations by Weston Solutions, Inc. (WESTON), have been honored by Environmental Business Journal (EBJ) and Building Magazine, two major publications in the environmental and building-services industry.

EBJ awarded GreenGrid^® its Technology Merit Award, to be presented at the EBJ Environmental Industry Summit IV, March 1-3, 2006, in Coronado, CA.

Buildings Magazine has chosen GreenGrid^® as a 2005 Editor’s Choice – Top Products Pick.

WESTON builds and installs the GreenGrid^® green roof system under an exclusive licensing arrangement with ABC Supply Co., Inc. Using modular technology, soil media and plants are placed into a series of modules made of recycled plastics and then placed directly on the roofing membrane of conventional roofs. The entire system is simple to install and maintain and offers a cost-effective alternative to traditional “built-in-place” green roofs.

Studies show green roofs help lower energy costs, add natural beauty, reduce stormwater runoff, help alleviate the “urban heat island” effect, as well as extend roof life.
