WESTON Hires Alan D. King as Real Estate Solutions Client Service Manager
West
Chester, PA ,
April 18, 2006 – Weston Solutions, Inc. (WESTON®)
announced today that Mr. Alan D. King has joined the company
as a Client Service Manager to grow and expand the Company’s
Real Estate Solutions business and Enhanced Use Leasing (EUL) service
line.
As one of the co-founders of the Army’s EUL program, Mr. King
is recognized for his role in the Army’s pilot programs at Fort
Sam Houston and Fort Leonard Wood. He represented the Army on
a Department of Defense (DoD) Process Action Team to expand the authority
of Title 10 U.S.C. Section 2667, the legal entity under which the EUL
program operates. He has been instrumental in working with all aspects
of the EUL process.
“Mr. King’s background and advisory experience with DoD
will provide the impetus WESTON’s real estate program needs to
expand its EUL activities on installations around the country,” stated
Patrick G. McCann, WESTON President and Chief Executive Officer. “As
the EUL market continues to grow, Mr. King will play an integral part
in expanding WESTON’s presence in the marketplace.”
Thomas Swoyer, WESTON’s EUL Service Line Manager, commented, “The
EUL market will grow as installations around the country include EUL
projects in their facility planning. Alan’s presence on our team
gives WESTON and our partners another valuable resource to deliver
lasting value-added solutions to installation facility and infrastructure
challenges.”
Mr. King has 27 years of experience as a
governmental service employee with intimate knowledge of DoD installation
hierarchy, installation management and strategic planning processes.
As Deputy to the Garrison Commander, Walter Reed Army Medical Center
(WRAMC), Washington D.C., he managed a budget of $100 million and
approximately 800 employees. He had authority to direct necessary
action over all public and private partnerships, commercial activity
programs and community support. He was hand-picked by WRAMC’s
leadership to revitalize the real property program and to gain congressional
approval. Additionally, he served on the Army Staff as a program manager
with the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management (ACSIM),
at a Major Command and numerous installations throughout his government
career.
Mr. King holds a bachelor’s degree from California State University
Long Beach and a master’s degree from Central Michigan University.
He will be based in WESTON’s Washington, DC office.
Teams led by WESTON have been awarded three
major EULs since 2000 including the Army’s first pilot project
for the redevelopment of historic buildings at Fort Sam Houston,
TX; Barker Circle at Fort Monmouth, NJ, now a future base closure
site; and most recently one of the largest and mission essential
projects the Army has undertaken in the development of an Anti-Terrorism/Law
Enforcement Training Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
