WESTON Hires John A. Walker as Manager of Real Estate Development Services

West Chester, PA- February 26, 2002 - Roy F. Weston, Inc. (WESTON), a leading infrastructure redevelopment services firm, today announced the hiring of John A. Walker as Manager of Real Estate Development Services for the company. Mr. Walker will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and directing real estate development and investment opportunities for WESTON's privatization group.

In commenting on the real estate development market, Patrick G. McCann, WESTON's President and COO commented, "WESTON has been acutely aware of the redevelopment and investment potential on many of our clean-up sites over the past several years. WESTON has already begun to invest equity and join reuse project development teams throughout the United States including the former U.S. Naval base on Mare Island and at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.

Prior to joining WESTON, Mr. Walker was Vice President for Legg Mason Real Estate Services, Inc. He has been in the real estate consulting and economic development fields for over 20 years with extensive experience in market and financial analysis of commercial, residential and mixed-use projects as well as military base planning and land development.
