WESTON Earns SBA's Eisenhower Award of Excellence for Subcontracting

WEST CHESTER, Pa. - May 24, 2000 - Roy F. Weston, Inc., today announced it has been selected by the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to receive the Dwight D. Eisenhower Award of Excellence in recognition of its outstanding record of providing subcontracts to small businesses. WESTON was named Eisenhower winner in the construction category. The award will be formally presented to WESTON Chief Executive William L. Robertson at an awards ceremony on June 14 in Washington, DC.

"Originally founded as a small business 44 years ago, WESTON has always supported the SB community because we recognize that it makes good business sense. The Eisenhower Award, created in 1991, is given to large businesses that operate as federal prime contractors and have excelled in their utilization of small businesses as suppliers and subcontractors. Nominees are chosen from a pool of 2,500 eligible large contractors in the categories of Manufacturing, Service, Research and Development and Construction.
