WESTON Wins Navy Environmental ID/IQ Multiple Award Contract
Worth Up to $120 Million
WEST CHESTER, Pa. - June 10, 2002 - WESTON, a leading environmental and redevelopment firm, today announced it has been awarded a new Environmental Multiple Award Contract (EMAC) with a total gross value of up to $120 million by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego (NAVFACENGCOM).
Under the firm fixed price (FFP), indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) multiple award contract, WESTON will perform remediation services at designated Navy and Marine Corps installations in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Nevada and Utah. The contract has a performance period of a base year with four 1-year options to extend the period through 30 April 2007. WESTON, one of four contract winners under the $240 million EMAC, may be awarded a maximum of $120 million over the course of the five-year period.

According to Alan Solow, WESTON's Senior Vice President for Federal Programs, "This is a very strategic and exciting win for WESTON. This contract complements WESTON's already strong support to the DoD, while allowing us to use our extensive experience to help the Navy address its West Coast environmental challenges."
WESTON will perform environmental remedial action, removal actions, remedial design, expedited and emergency response actions, pilot and treatability studies, remedial systems operation, maintenance and instruction, and other related activities associated with returning sites to safe and acceptable levels of contamination.
