West Chester, Pa. - April 11, 2000 -- Roy F. Weston, Inc., today announced the award of a statewide contract by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection to provide interim response and remediation services (IRRS) to the Bureau of Land Recycling and Waste Management.

The 3-year contract was awarded to WESTON/ARTC Corporation, a joint venture, and has a potential value of more than $4 million. Services will include the assessment, cleanup and removal of hazardous substances at sites across the state and corrective actions at storage tank sites. WESTON/ARTC was one of four contractors and the only non-incumbent to be awarded an IRRS contract.

"Our proven record of quick response coupled with our strong construction capabilities was instrumental in winning this contract," said Patrick G.
