WESTON/ARTC Awarded Pennsylvania Environmental Response And Remediation
Contract
West Chester,
Pa. - April 11, 2000 -- Roy F. Weston, Inc., today
announced the award of a statewide contract by the Pennsylvania
Department of Environmental Protection to provide interim
response and remediation services (IRRS) to the Bureau of
Land Recycling and Waste Management.
The 3-year contract
was awarded to WESTON/ARTC Corporation, a joint venture, and
has a potential value of more than $4 million. Services will
include the assessment, cleanup and removal of hazardous substances
at sites across the state and corrective actions at storage
tank sites. WESTON/ARTC was one of four contractors and the
only non-incumbent to be awarded an IRRS contract.
"Our proven
record of quick response coupled with our strong construction
capabilities was instrumental in winning this contract," said
Patrick G. McCann, WESTON's president and chief operating officer. "Along
with other recent strategic wins, we anticipate this contract
will result in substantial growth for WESTON's Mid-Atlantic
Construction Operations."
