WESTON to Add Environmental Remediation Services
Under Expanded GSA Contract
WEST CHESTER, PA- February 26, 2002 -
Roy F. Weston, Inc. (WESTON®), a leading infrastructure redevelopment services firm, today announced that the General Services Administration (GSA) has expanded the company's Environmental Advisory Services Contract to include environmental remediation services. The existing 5-year contract, with an estimated initial value of up to $12.5 million, carries an additional 5-year option.
Under the expanded contract, WESTON will extend its scope of environmental services to include the containment, treatment, removal, and management of hazardous, toxic, radioactive, and energetic wastes, and offers both short- and long-term operation and maintenance of hazardous waste facilities. In addition, services may include performance of CERCLA removal actions, RCRA Interim Measures, RCRA closures, Brownfields support, and location and disposal of Unexploded Ordnance.

Under the original GSA contract, WESTON provided support to federal agencies throughout the United States and its Territories encompassing development of environmental impact statements, endangered species/wetlands plans and assessments, economic and risk analyses, environmental compliance audits, pollution prevention surveys, site investigations, waste management alternatives assessments and environmental and occupational training. GSA and their federal clients attained environmental services without the added expense of issuing individual contracts.
