David
Campbell Named Head Of WESTON's New DC Office
West Chester,
PA, November 28, 2001 - Roy F. Weston, Inc. (WESTON®),
a leading environmental, redevelopment, and compliance
firm, today announced the appointment of Mr. David Campbell
as the Director of Government and International Relations
in its Washington, DC office.
Mr. Campbell joins
WESTON to lead the expansion and growth of the Washington D.C. office
and to enhance coordination with WESTON's federal customers and stakeholders.
His years of policy and program experience in both the environmental
and national security arenas will complement WESTON as it continues
to support multiple government agencies, including the Department
of Defense (DOD), Department of Energy (DOE), Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA), numerous state and local government agencies and private
industry.
"Mr. Campbell brings
just the right amount of policy, program, political and analytical
experience to establish and grow our Washington D.C. operations and
to be an integral part of our business teams," said WESTON Chairman
and Chief Executive William Robertson. "As we expand our stake in
the environmental, infrastructure, and redevelopment markets,
his experience helping other companies grow in the federal
sector will be invaluable to our success."
Previously, Campbell
served as Manager, External Corporate Affairs, for British Nuclear
Fuels, Inc. (BNFL), where he helped the U.S operation quadruple in
size from 1996 through 1999. He managed U.S. government and public
relations efforts associated with the $1.2 billion acquisition of
Westinghouse, and has successfully secured annualized funding for
the DOE's largest ongoing privatization project in Idaho.
Before joining BNFL,
Mr. Campbell was with Science Applications International Corporation,
where he managed numerous DOE contracts, providing policy and technical
support in the areas of stockpile stewardship, nuclear materials production
and facilities management, environmental health and safety, NEPA,
and reconfiguration. He earned his master's degree in international
relations from George Washington University, his bachelor's degree
in political science from James Madison University, and is a graduate
of the International Management Development Institute, in Lusuanne,
Switzerland.
