WESTON Awarded Air Force Consulting Services Contract Valued Up to $25 Million

SAN ANTONIO, TX - January 8, 2002 - Roy F. Weston, Inc. today announced it has been awarded a new Architect and Engineering (A&E) Services contract with a total gross value of up to $25 million for the Air Force Institute for Environment, Safety and Occupational Health Risk Analysis (AFIERA), located at Brooks AFB, TX.

Under the 7-year contract, WESTON will manage Title I, Title II, and other A&E services to administer, coordinate, and technically support AFIERA's worldwide Environment, Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH) mission. Other services will include environmental engineering, health and safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, environmental auditing and risk assessments.

WESTON has provided a wide range of services to AFIERA in past years, including aircraft emission testing and emission factor development on all current Air Force engines, as well as extensive drinking water compliance and vulnerability studies at Air Force installations worldwide.

"This contract is significant to WESTON as we expand our Environmental Management Systems capabilities and complement our other Department of Defense business lines. Management of the contract will be centered in WESTON's San Antonio, Texas office.
