WESTON in the News

50-year Anniversary Commemorated with Time Capsule

WESTON culminated our 50th anniversary celebration with a time capsule ceremony held on the West Chester, PA, campus. It will be sealed and placed in the library, to be opened in 25 years. The Time Capsule serves as a celebration of our culture, the special business we have built together, and the differences we make for our clients and our communities.

WESTON senior leaders, including President and CEO Pat McCann and COO Alan Solow, reviewed the items. A ‘Best Item’ was selected—a photo album crafted by employees in the Hyderabad, India, office. Other items included: a packet commemorating the work we did on the 2003 Columbia shuttle disaster, hazardous materials action figures, and the highly coveted, hard-to-come-by WESTON necktie.

Beginning in March 2007, two different cases traveled to approximately 60 WESTON offices. Items ranged from the very personal—family photos taken on vacation or a bib number worn in the Chicago marathon, to the totally professional, such as the printout of the layout of our Houston, TX, office with employee photos pasted in their location, or news clips highlighting WESTON projects.

The idea came from Dan Liebau in the Houghton, MI, office. Martin Gomez of our facilities department built the wooden case that will serve as our time capsule.
