Enhanced Use Leasing Article Authored by WESTON Employee Thomas Swoyer, Jr. is Featured in The Military Engineer

In its November/December 2003 issue, The Military Engineer featured an article written by Thomas Swoyer, Jr. of WESTON® Ft. Sam Houstonentitled “EUL: New Life for Military Buildings.” The article describes the situation Fort Sam Houston in Texas encountered in the late 1990s. WESTON and Orion Partners devised Enhanced Use Leasing (EUL) solutions to save the U.S. Army time and money on unused assets and to restore the site to its historical significance and usefulness without posing major difficulties by performing undesired demolitions or using tenant funding to support the renovations. The article includes project-specific information, as well as lessons learned and general information about the usefulness and benefits of Enhanced Use Leasing.
