Water for People

Our President and CEO, Pat McCann, is on the Board of Directors of Water for People (WFP), an international, non-profit development organization committed to bringing safe drinking water and improved sanitation and health to impoverished people in developing countries throughout the world.

“I am privileged to be asked to serve on this board and play a part in such an important effort,” stated Pat McCann. “The need for help is enormous and Water For People is making a real difference due to the very practical approaches they have developed.  I hope I can help them raise awareness and funds to grow their programs.”

WHO/UNICEF estimates that waterborne diseases result in 6,000 deaths every day or one every 8 seconds, mostly children. To combat these statistics, WFP partners with groups in places like Guatemala, Honduras, Malawi, Bolivia, and India to provide basic needs such as community hand pumps, household latrines, school hand washing stations, and health and hygiene education.
