WESTON in the Global Community

Houston’s Operation School Supply Program

WESTON employee-owners in Houston are actively involved in many charitable events in their area. Notably, the Houston office recently raised money and a significant amount of school supplies for the yearly Operation School Supply Program, which provides school supplies to children in need.

Lisa Waskom, who helped organize WESTON’s participation in the Operation School Supply project, says of WESTON’s community service activities, “Over the past year, the Houston office has dedicated significant efforts towards community service activities. While many people contribute through their own private efforts, churches, or schools, many of us rarely have free time to devote to things outside of work and family. It has been fun organizing groups of people in the office for projects such as the Rebuilding Houston home project, the Buffalo Bayou clean up activities, Operation School Supply, and Dress for Success. If I can make it easier to get just a few people in the office motivated and organized that otherwise might not have considered the time to volunteer, then it is worth it.”
