WESTON in the Global Community

Disaster Relief

WESTON employee-owners have a long history of contributing to the communities in which we live. However, we also recognize that when disaster strikes, the effects are felt all around the world and we want to help, whether the disaster has struck a world away or in a community much like our own.

When the tsunami hit South Asia in December 2004, WESTON employee-owners responded with an outpouring of support by donating over $30,000 to the relief efforts.

Recently, our 1,800 employee-owners contributed $150,000 – the largest single giving campaign in the history of our company - to the Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina relief. In addition to monetary donations, employee-owners at WESTON collected necessary sanitary items to send to needy shelters and donated their time to provide specialized services during the critical aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
